SESEÑA X FEDERICO ANTELO, THE CAPE AS A CANVAS
Everyone know that fashion and art are closely related. Just like we all know that Seseña has always have a very special relation with artists. Now, that bond between capes and creativity tightens with Seseña x Federico Antelo, our new capsule collection. Two women capes manufactured by Seseña and hand printed by plastic artist Federico antelo.
Always interested on fashion, Antelo started working on textile design many years ago. Nowadays, he collaborates with art institutions such as Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum (Madrid), in which store Antelo’s products can be found. Connoisseur of the classic Spanish cape and Seseña’s history, soon he saw this pieces as a unique canvas for his prints.
“I was very attracted to the idea of joining the traditional cape with my geometric and modern prints”, says Antelo, who met Marcos Seseña, actual Seseña’s CEO, back in 2016. The relationship finishes with this women capes, one long and one short, embellished by an exclusive version of Antelo’s motives, always inspired by organic and geometric lines.
This time, he took his designs from classic trimming, hand printed on the capes using natural stains to keep the texture of the cape untouched. This also guarantees that every cape is a one-of-a-kind piece.
